AEL Chapter Honorary Member Award 2006:
Dr. Kristie Reilly

Dr. Kristie Reilly, Founding Advisor of Kean University's AEL chapter, was designated as the first Alpha Pi Chapter Honorary Member on December 4, 2006 . An alumna of Kean who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology in 1991, Reilly attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and received a Ph.D. in the neurosciences in 1995. While still a doctoral candidate, Reilly began working as an adjunct professor at Union County College and was hired there a year later as a full-time instructor, where she remained until accepting a position as assistant professor of neuroscience at Kean in 1995. In addition to balancing her research work with a busy teaching schedule that includes instructing doctoral students in gross anatomy and neuroscience in a joint program between Kean and UMDNJ, Reilly is actively involved in the cause of educating inner-city children. Having impressed faculty, staff and students alike with her leadership, administrative and research abilities, Reilly was asked to serve as associate dean of the Nathan Weiss Graduate College in 2001, and now Dean of the Nathan Weiss Graduate College .

We convey our sincere congratulations to Dr. Reilly on her honorable award of AEL Chapter Honorary Member 2006.
